Landmark Projects

Dr. Quiambao is also best-known for his landmark projects.

The Automated Elections of the ARMM Region of August 2008 was history in the making. It was the first successful electronic voting process, conducted by the Strategic Alliance Holdings Inc., or SAHI, with Quiambao as its president and chairman.

The LTO-IT Stradcom project is another “first” in major Philippine government computerization using the Build-Own-Operate (B-O-O) option under the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOO-BOT) Law. The US 80 million-dollar Stradcom B-O-O company has fully modernized the operations of the LTO.

Another project is the computerization of the Land Registration Authority (LRA) spearheaded by Lares, a US 120 million dollar B-O-O land titling system inter-connecting all LRA’s Registries of Deeds nationwide and integrating critical business processes on-line.

The PUP GS and OU 2013 Graduation Rites esteemed guest speaker is also a visionary who wants to bring the country into the mainstream of universal progress. His Metro Manila Skyway phase-one project, a US$515 million elevated toll way that runs atop the existing South Luzon Expressway, is a part of an overall US$2.5 billion road network that will interconnect the South Luzon and North Luzon Expressways.

  • 2013: Recipient of a Doctor of Humanities (Honoris Causa) degree from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Graduate School and Open University during their Commencement Exercises on April 25, 2013
  • 2014: Recipient of the prestigious ASNA Award for Business given out by the provincial government of Pangasinan to select achievers
  • September 28, 2019: declared Most Outstanding Jubilarian Award by his alma mater, University of the East (UE), Manila
